Robert V. Bonjean Jr.
Robert V. Bonjean, Jr. is the founder of the Bonjean Law Office. Bob received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Political Science from Illinois College in 1978 and his Juris Doctor from St. Louis University School of Law in 1981. He is admitted to practice before all courts of the State of Illinois and the Federal Court of the Central District of Illinois.
Bob is a member of the American Bar Association, the Illinois State Bar Association and the Morgan County Bar Association where he has served in the capacity of President, Vice President and Secretary. Bob is an invitee to membership in the Leading Lawyers Network.
Bob concentrates his practice in the area of family law at the Trial Court and Appellate Court levels. He also practices in the areas of Estate Planning and in representing rural water distribution entities in Central Illinois.
Bob's extensive family law experience has involved representing clients in disputes related to custody and support of children and significant financial issues. Bob's representation of clients has included the negotiation, settlement and trial of multi-million dollar cases.
Bob generally practices in the West Central Illinois counties of Morgan, Brown, Calhoun, Cass, Greene, Macoupin, Menard, Pike, Sangamon, Schuyler and Scott. Bob has served his community as a member of various charitable and religious organizations. He is currently the President of the Routt High School Education Foundation and Secretary of the Our Saviour Grade School Education Foundation. He was formally the President of the Illinois College Alumni Association and an Alumni Trustee of the College.
