Robert V. Bonjean III.
Robert V. Bonjean III joined Bonjean Law Office on January 1, 2016 after 11+ years in the Morgan County State’s Attorney’s Office. Bobby received his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Illinois College in 1994 and his Juris Doctor from Southern Illinois University School of Law in Carbondale in 1997. Bobby was a member of Bonjean Law office from 1998 to 2004 when he became the Assistant State’s Attorney in Morgan County handling DUIs, Traffic and Juvenile matters. In 2013, Bobby was appointed State’s Attorney where he concentrated in Criminal Felony and Misdemeanor cases.
Bobby is a member of the Lincoln-Douglas Inn of Court, the Morgan County Bar Association, and the Illinois State Bar Association where he serves on the Traffic Laws and Courts Section Council.
Bobby concentrates his practice in the areas of Criminal and Traffic/DUI Defense and Family Law. He also practices in the areas of Estate Planning, Probate Administration, and Juvenile law.
Bobby generally practices in the West Central Illinois counties of Morgan, Brown, Calhoun, Cass, Greene, Pike, Sangamon, Schuyler and Scott.
Bobby has served his community as a member of various charitable and religious organizations. He has previously served the City of Jacksonville on the Police Pension Fund Board and most recently as Chairman of the Fire and Police Board of Commissioners. Bobby serves as the Hoop Shoot Director for the Elks Lodge Local and District Hoop Shoots. He currently serves as Treasurer for the Routt Catholic High School Alumni Association and is a Board Member of the Routt Catholic High School Education Foundation.
Bobby and his wife, Cortney live in Jacksonville with their two daughters, Claire and Tatum.
